The Foresters Country Pub

A great country pub...

The Foresters is a great country pub located in the middle of the woodland between Church Crookham and Aldershot. Decorated with wood taken from the plentiful trees around the building, the place steeped in history. The Foresters was first licensed in 1857!

The perfect place to stop after your woodland walk!

Testimonials

Really wished we had booked a table – OMG the place was heaving and had such a brilliant Christmassy atmosphere. We had a drink at the bar and stood there looking around and saw so many delicious looking meals being brought out. They really did look terrific and we both regretted not booking up in advance. We will certainly come back here another time…

A woodland walk

A short walk from Church Crookham, and surrounded by woodland, we are the perfect place to stop after your walk.

Dating back to the 1800s

The Foresters was built in the 1800s, as one might expect from its name. Originally one of 3 Inns in the area built to look after the captains of the horse drawn barges that used the Basingstoke canal where they would come in their ‘knee breeches and buckled shoes to slake their thirst and swap a yarn at the bar’.

Pub garden

Our well nurtured & award-winning garden to the rear whisks you away to the ‘middle of nowhere’. It has more space for customers than the pub, making it particularly popular in the summer.

Hanging basket fire

In the winter the raised ‘hanging basket’ log fire is a spectacular center feature – right in the middle of the restaurant. Find our specials on chalkboards on the fire too, as well as throughout the restaurant.

Everyone is welcome

We frequently welcome guests from the International businesses located around Farnborough Airport, as well as walkers & cyclists enjoying the woodland that surrounds us. Not to mention our four-legged friends are always welcome.
